BetBoom Botch Elimination Series Against Tidebound, Throws 15K Gold Lead
The BetBoom Team has had a nightmare run in the PGL Wallachia Season 4 Playoffs. After losing 0 - 2 to their former teammates at Aurora yesterday, the BetBoom Team was sentenced to the Lower Bracket to play an elimination series against Team Tidebound.
Things were going well on the first map, as gpk~ had an excellent 24th pick Outworld Devourer. The Russian mid-laner went 12/1/7 to convert a quick map win and put the BetBoom Team in the driver’s seat.
In the second game, we were given flashbacks to NothingToSay’s dominance in 2021. On Ember Spirit, NothingToSay put the team on his back with a flawless performance, going 20/0/21. With a 41 KDR and 89% kill participation, the Malaysian heled Team Tidebound keep the series level.
Pure’s Phantom Assassin was off to a stellar start on the decider. The BetBoom Team gathered momentum throughout the mid-game and amassed a 15,000 net worth lead at 36 minutes. After killing Tidebound heroes, the BetBoom Team, in their typical fashion, got greedy and was punished by opposing buybacks to concede Roshan.
Things quickly spiraled out of control, as Faith_bian was able to farm Refresher Orb on Beastmaster, providing enough lockdown to delete BetBoom heroes. After 52 minutes of play, the BetBoom Team crumbled and was forced to call GG.
The MVP of this elimination series was undoubtedly NothingToSay, who played near-perfect Dota in the second and third maps. This result means Team Tidebound advance to the next stage of the Lower Bracket, while the BetBoom Team faces yet another disappointing exit, this time in 7th - 8th place.
