Dota 2 is on the list of disciplines at the XIX Asian Games in Hangzhou

Dota 2 is officially included in the list of medal disciplines for the XIX Asian Games. They will be held in September 2022 in Hangzhou, China. In addition to Dota 2, the list includes 7 other Esports disciplines:
- Arena of Valor Asian Games Version
- Dream Three Kingdoms 2
- EA SPORTS FIFA branded soccer games
- HearthStone
- League of Legends
- PUBG Mobile Asian Games Version
- Street Fighter V
As noted in the announcement, each discipline includes one set of awards. Several demo games will also be included. Details about participants and formats will be announced later.
Esports first appeared at the XVIII Asian Games held in Indonesia in 2018. However, the list of disciplines didn't include Dota 2, and all Esports competitions weren't in the official medals.
