Falcons Outlast BetBoom Team In Blast Slam II
A clash of titans commenced in Round 2 of the Blast Slam II Playoffs, with Team Falcons taking on the BetBoom Team who is fielding TORONTOTOKYO as a stand-in. The MENA-backed organization came out on top after a lengthy three-map series, sending the BetBoom Team in another disappointing exit in 2025.
The first map was a total slugfest, with both teams choosing to avoid fights and farm on their heroes. However, come the late-game, the two teams constantly swung leads. The BetBoom Team did a great job protecting TORONTOTOKYO's Phoenix Egg in numerous crucial occasions, leading to a 15,000 net worth comeback to win in 55 minutes.
The next map was also neck-in-neck all throughout. Team Falcons had an interesting approach to the game, drafting Dawnbreaker Carry on skiter who focused on purchasing aura items. The BetBoom Team began running out of damage coming into the late game, and Team Falcons swept the map to take it to a third.
Despite having a rough early game in the decider, Team Falcons began ramping up their snowball draft, shutting down Pure's trusty Morphling. Unlike the two other maps, the final one wasn't too close. Though it took some time, Team Falcons ended the game rendering Pure's Morphling nearly useless at a KDA of 4/8/4.
With this victory, Team Falcons move on to face Yakult's Brothers in the Quarterfinals of Blast Slam II. Meanwhile, despair continues for the BetBoom Team, as they have been eliminated due to the "King of the Hill" format.
