Team Liquid Upset Tundra Esports To Reach PGL Wallachia Playoffs
Day 3 of PGL Wallachia Season 3 has ended. We had to bid farewell to our first two teams, but we also promoted another pair to the Playoffs.
Team Liquid faced off against Tundra Esports in the 2 - 0 pool. Despite playing against the best team in the world, miCKe put the team on his back with a combined KDA of 30/6/17 in two maps to flawlessly take down Tundra Esports. This victory meant Team Liquid advanced to the Playoffs with a clean 3 - 0 finish in the Group Stage.
Joining Team Liquid in the 3 - 0 pool is Team Spirit, who made light work of Team Falcons with a swift 2 - 0 win as well. The DreamLeague Season 25 winners made light work of the situation and qualified for the Playoffs.
Unfortunately, we also had to send two teams home. The first is OG, who lost an elimination series against the biggest underdogs of the tournament, Yellow Submarine. South American representative Mosquito Clan was also sent out of the tournament after a 0 - 2 loss against Natus Vincere. The two losers ended their Wallachia runs with a 0 - 3 record.
By the end of Day 4, we will see three more teams advance to the Playoffs, and three more teams be eliminated from the event.
PGL Wallachia Season 3 is a $1,000,000 tournament held in Romania, Bucharest. The event will be played in a LAN format without a crowd. We’ll see Dota 2 action from March 8 to 16.
